Joy Comes In the Morning Over the Pacific

The sun is up. Since the plane is pointed West, I didn’t get to see sunrise. However, we’re just 58 minute from Rarotonga – the main island in CI.

It was miserable trying to sleep, but I was lucky in my seat mate. She’s a veterinarian nurse from London, England named Carly. She’s going to spend three weeks volunteering at a stray cat and dog sanctuary on Rarotonga. She has girl shoulders, which meant we weren’t packed quite as tightly when compared to sitting beside Kevin Smith.

I may have had a cranky sleep, but I’m refreshed. Maybe it’s the excitement.
