An Adaptation From ‘Flash Boys: A Wall Street Revolt,’ by Michael Lewis – NYTimes.com. This is a really worthwhile read. A simple, decent Canadian boy, working for the Royal Bank of Canada, discovers major malfeasance on the part of high frequency Wall Street traders. Instead of profiting from this knowledge, he and others set up a way to fix the problem.
Canada, unlike any other country the world, has as a police force (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) as a symbol of national pride. How about we add our major national banks, who also performed so well during the sub-prime mortgage crisis, as a symbol of all that is decent, moderate and fair in the Canadian character!
