This editorial from Bloomberg magazine reinforces a point I’ve been trying to make all along. Like much in science and more certainly in a non-experimental science like understanding our climate, certainty is illusory. We have no idea if the catastrophe predicted for our future will actually occur. However, we would be idiots if we don’t try to something to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide and methane we’re pumping into the atmosphere.
Would you cancel your house insurance? In the long run, scaring people doesn’t work.
