Food policy debates really miss the point whether “organic” or “factory”. In my experience:
- Grass fed New Zealand beef tastes superior to feedlot beef in North America.
- In tropical / semi tropical areas like the Cook Islands, fruit and avocados from someone’s back yard taste so good it’s hard to go back to grocery store produce.
- Raspberries and Strawberries eaten right off my bushes taste better than the same berries put aside for an hour or two for dessert.
- Some “organic” produce gets shipped closer to ripening for marketing reasons and often tastes superior. It has nothing to do with agricultural methods.
If we want to improve diets, make food tastier.
