Aye, Robbie, Screw the 1%

This article Scotland’s Independence Vote Shows a Global Crisis of the Elites – NYTimes.com makes a point I haven’t thought of. The economic crisis of the last six years has heightened awareness of how a small number of the rich have undue influence on policy. I wouldn’t call it a failure of capitalism because our economy is based on influence rather than competition, on domination rather than opportunity. I think I’d vote yes.
